Captain Sugar is an amazing guy. He has sailed the deep blue seas several times around the world and has far too many tales and stories to tell. He was sharing with our class today adventures sailing on 20' swells at 12' knots en-route to New Zealand. He charters the Alcyone in the Puget Sound, as well as gives classes. This awesome schooner was built by the Founder of the Northwest Old Wooden Boat School in 1955. The original owner sewed the Acylon's 3000 square feet of sails totally by hand!
